General Information
SERVICES SUPPORT:
SACRISTANS:
Our Sacristans are :  Val Atkins/Theresa Davies at St Clare's and Frank McCabe at St. Francis.
Anyone wishing to become an altar server should contact Monsignor Gerard Robinson or the relevant Sacristan.
MINISTERS OF COMMUNION:
These are parishioners who assist with the distribution of Communion on a rota basis; the rotas are prepared by Janice Slater at St. Francis' and Theresa Davies at St. Clare's.
If you would like a Minister to visit a housebound or sick person with Communion, please contact Monsignor Robinson or Janice or Theresa.
MINISTERS OF THE WORD:
These are parishioners who read at Mass on a rota basis; the rotas are prepared by Janice Slater for St. Francis' and Theresa Davies for St. Clare's.
CHOIRS:

Our choir leader is Raynor Smith. Anyone wishing to join the choir should contact Raynor.

@ St. Clare's
John Waring  is organist / leads the Music Group. The group meet for practice Sunday mornings at 8.45m, new members are always welcome.

PARISH NEWSLETTER:
The parish newsletter is prepared each week by Monsignor Robinson; any item or notice for inclusion in the newsletter should be submitted to him via the parish presbytery.
FAITH GROUP:
(Formerly k.a. Ascent Group) Meet at St. Clare's after Mass on the first Monday of the month. Theresa Davies @ St Clare's organises it. Readings/discussion/prayers are followed by the sharing of views over the inevitalbe "cuppa". New members/visitors always very welcome.
REFRESHMENTS:
The parish of St Francis is a certified fairtrade parish. This means that we use fairtrade tea and coffee at all parish functions, and are moving towards using other fairtrade items as much as possible.
Tea and coffee is served in the Parish hall after 10.30 am Mass on Sundays, at St Francis church. (There is a rota to help with the serving of the tea and coffee and new helpers are always welcome. Please contact Frances Flood or Marie Mead).
In like manner, tea and coffee is served after Mass on Wednesday mornings at St. Clare's, where, as always, new helpers are always welcome.
PIETY STALL:
A variety of religious items are displayed and offered for sale before & after the Sunday 1030am Mass. Esther McNeil organize the stall, with the assistance of Sylvia O'Rourke. They would be happy to deal with any specific requests for items not normally stocked.
CHURCH CLEANING:
@ St. Francis' ~There is a rota of volunteers for church cleaning and linen washing. Additional volunteers are always needed and welcomed - please contact Helen McGee.
@ St. Clare's Church cleaning is on the first Wednesday of each month after the morning Mass, volunteers always welcome; please contact Marlene McCarthey.
CHURCH BUILDINGS:
Buildings are looked after by John Shipley.
CHURCH GARDENS:
Dave Flannigan looks after the parish grounds. If you would like to join him, give him a ring.
CHURCH FLOWERS:
The flowers in church are arranged and maintained by:
@ St. Francis' Margaret Clarke.
@ St. Clare's  Gwen Waite.
COUNTERS:
A team of parishioners count the collections after Sunday morning Mass, by attending on a rota basis. Mark O'Donnell organizes the rota and would be pleased to welcome any new volunteers for the rota.
